Daria has enjoyed the art of belly dancing since 1977. She performed with a dance troupe in El Paso, TX for three years and introduced belly dancing to several areas across West Texas and southern New Mexico. Her first instructor, Tamara, learned belly dancing while her husband was stationed in Turkey and passed on her knowledge of the dance and culture to her students.

Daria is affectionately known as "Queen of Swords" and credits DeAnn Adams of Light Rain with introducing her to sword dancing and her love of swords. In addition, Daria often dances with fans, veil, zills and the Wings of Isis.

Daria has been teaching belly dance in Shalimar, FL since 1999 and is the director of Mystic Mirage. Her style is predominately Turkish fused with Egyptian, American Tribal Style, and modern dance. Daria is also a member of a Tribal group that dances in the Fat Chance Belly Dance style.

Mystic Mirage performs throughout the Southeast at festivals, seminars, private and corporate functions as well as charity events and fundraisers.

Daria and husband Paul are also the owners of Mystic Creations which is a full line costume supply company, and they vend throughout the Southeast. They also sponsor Windows to the East in March and September where they feature well-known instructors from across the United States.
