Theresa had her first encounter with belly dance when she was eleven. She and her mom took classes together for a fun mother-daughter experience. Although she loved the art, life seemed to get in the way, and Theresa had to give up dance for many years.
In 2001, she took up belly dance again while living in Germany. In 2003, Theresa began studying with Kira and Laylia in Ohio. She joined Mystic Mirage in 2005 and loves the dance more than ever.
